Welcome to Episode 16 of Coffee Time with Technology. This time I have chosen an interesting innovation from the HundrED 2020 Innovation list titled "The Global Minds Initiative".The main purpose behind this initiative was to tackle the problem of cultural intolerance and discrimination through after school program scheduled for an hour every week.

Welcome to 15th Episode of Coffee Time with Technology. This time I have reviewed MindUP which I have selected from the HundrED 2020 innovation. Its a program developed by the Goldie Hawn Foundation with the aim to help students manage their stress levels and regulate emotions. This comprises of 15 lessons which cover areas like neuroscience, mindfulness, social emotional learning and positive psychology. Details in link https://hundred.org/en/innovations/mindup

Episode 14 Design For Change

Welcome to the 14th Episode of Coffee Time With Technology , this time with the review of yet another of the awesome HundrED innovations Design For Change chosen from Finland 2019 list. Its all about inculcating an I CAN mindset in kids instead of the CAN I mindset,  Its based on four key elements namely Feel, Imagine,Do and Share. Think of an issue that your concerned about, imagine creative solutions, plan an action, implement the solution and share with all to encourage the I CAN mindset.

Episode 13 - Project DEFY Define Education For Yourself

Welcome to the 13th Episode of Coffee Time with Technology, this time with the review of yet another of the awesome HundrED Innovation Project DEFY i.e Define Education For Yourself, which is a fantastic concept of learning how to learn or in other words teaching oneself how to learn using the internet, computer and information resources available. Its about creating a customized maker space with the help of community members for the underprivileged kids called Nooks.

Episode 12 Makeshop

Welcome to the 12th Episode of Coffee Time with Technology, this time with the review of yet another of the awesome HundrED innovations i.e Makeshop. Makeshop is an actual workshop/maker space created inside the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh which provides opportunities for both teacher, parents and students to play, create and design using real materials. The Makeshop has attracted over 300,000 participants over the past year.

Episode 11 Roots of Empathy

Welcome to the 10th Episode of Coffee Time with Technology this time with the review of yet another of the awesome HundrED innovations i.e Roots of Empathy, chosen from the HundrED 2019 innovation list. Roots of Empathy is an evidence based program for primary children,which involves a tiny teacher i.e an infant baby to teach empathy to kids through an experiential learning process resulting in more inclusive classrooms.

Episode 10 - Seppo

Welcome to the 10th Episode of Coffee Time with Technology this time with the review of yet another of the awesome hundrED innovations i.e Seppo chosen from the Finland 100 list. Seppo is an authoring tool for creating educational games to keep students motivated and engaged in the learning process. You can design games around any subject. Games can be both inside or outside the classroom.

Episode 9 - Smiling Minds

Welcome to the 9th Episode of Coffee Time with Technology this time with the review of yet another of the awesome HundrED innovations i.e Smiling Minds chosen from the HundrED 2019 innovation list. The program basically aims to bring mindfulness into the Australian National Curriculum by 2020, they believe young people need to learn the skills to build a healthy mind that can help them cope with life stress and challenges.

Episode 8 - Playground Ideas

Welcome to the 8th Episode of Coffee Time with Technology, this time with the review of yet another of the awesome HundrED innovations, Playground Ideas that I have chosen from the HundrED 2019 list. The innovation basically focuses on developing low cost , contextualized playgrounds for kids using readily and easily available material like tyres, planks of woods etc to create slides, hammocks, swings etc They consider play a very crucial part of child development.

Episode 7 - Emma Maths

Hi and Welcome to the 7th Episode of Coffee Time with Technology, this time with the review of yet another of the awesome HundrED innovations i.e EMMA Maths that I  have chosen from the Finland HundrED list. Emma Maths offers concrete tools for learning Maths. This was established in Finland in 2010 in Finnish schools to boost mathematical skills of kids such as understanding of counting numbers, developing reasoning skills, using quantity blocks specifically build for this innovation.
